Description

The wing features the efficient Eppler 195 airfoil, with NACA leading edge cuff outboard to minimize any tip stalling at slow speeds. It is built in 3 sections for ease of transportation. Six channels provide for Ivan’s retractable landing gear and retractable tip float designs, as detailed on the plans. It is an excellent performer off water, as well as land.
The retracts are very reliable and absorb the bumps well on rough surfaces, but they are challenging to build. Recommended for experienced builders with time and patience. To save some weight and frustration, simply build it as a pure water bird. Like all of Ivan’s designs, the plans are hand drawn, yet are well detailed, for experienced builders.
