Description
Fred Reese is well known for blending his sense of whimsy with quick building, lightweight airframes that fly great. His Doppeldecker is just such a design, inspired by Germany’s WWI biplanes, but without the restrictions of a true scale model. Originally designed for a small glow engine, the Doppeldecker also flies very well with electric power systems producing 100-150 watts.
Note that the plan does show a simple dummy engine, which the builder of the model depicted chose not to add.
The Doppeldecker plan also includes laser cut templates for the ribs and curved tail surfaces. A short kit will be available soon.
