Developed during the late 1950s, Mel Schmidt’s Hi-Trail 500 was designed to win contests and build quickly. Suitable for ROG and VTO flying, the Hi-Trail proved very successful in Class A Gas, regularly topping the podium at contests throughout the western states during its prepublication trials and beyond. A true classic, the Hi-Trail promises the same performance builders have enjoyed for nearly 70 years, while the 3-panel constant chord wing and sheet box fuselage will minimize your build time.
