This model of the 1916 Bellanca CD Tractor Biplane was inspired by a Peanut Scale plan by Don Butman, which appeared in Model Builder's October 1972 issue. With Don's encouragement, his original plan was enlarged and redrawn to accommodate radio control. It has proven to be a great indoor RC model, or for flying outside in calm conditions.
Our prototype was originally designed for a small geared brushed motor, 6-8 cell nicad packs, and carbon fiber prop as shown. We are now recommending the Great Planes Rimfire 250 motor or similar, with a 300-800mAh 2S lipo battery.
