A definite contender for de Havilland's most graceful biplane title, the 4-engine Express was a 1930s-era airliner and air ambulance, with 62 examples built. They served faithfully throughout the British Empire until being impressed into wartime service.

Ivan's Express uses his typical stick and stringer lightweight construction, resulting in excellent flight characteristics and - despite its apparent complexity - an easy to fly model. The main gear's torsion bar suspension provides for good operation on rough fields. Can be built with three-panel wings for easier storage and transportation.(August 2008).
