We are now offering a laser cut short kit for the Albatros B1, featuring hand selected and graded, contest quality balsa. This kit includes all ribs and formers, as well as the forward fuselage sides, plywood control horns and bellcranks, windscreen frames, and tail surface outline components. Templates are also included, if you prefer laminating the control surface outlines.

Two oversized plan sheets detail all airframe components, as well as numerous options such as one-piece construction or removable wings, pushrods or pull-pull controls, both scale and the prototype's "cub-ish" tail surface styles, built-up or laminated outlines. We also show an optional float installation, for even more fun.
As of 7/6/19, short kits will now also include templates for the float sides.

Based on an original 1/2A model designed and built by US Scale Masters Champion David Johnson when he was just 9, this short kit builds into a delightful lightweight electric flyer, perfect for your local ball field, or small pond. And yes, a 1/2A "re-conversion" could be easily accomplished.
